Kota Kinabalu: City Hall (DBKK) will open a new night market in Sadong Jaya, called D’Soang Market @ Sembulan River.

DBKK Director-General Junainah Abbie said the market would begin on Oct 5 from 5pm to midnight and open every day, selling a wide variety of food items. 

“A total of 30 tents will be set up comprising small traders. What makes this night market unique is the sale of seasonal fruits like durian, mangosteen, langsat and many more, as well as the sale of traditional kampung style delicacies,” she said.

She said the opening of the night market is to help enhance the socio-economic status of the Sembulan area and its residents. 

“It is intended to become one of Kota Kinabalu’s new attractions for visitors and tourists,” she said in a statement, Tuesday.
