Kota Kinabalu: Three men were jailed by the Magistrate’s Court, Monday, for having drugs.
Ahmad Idzham Yamin, 23, Hanif Usin, 20, and Kidman Senan, 24, pleaded guilty before Magistrate Wan Farrah Farriza Wan Ghazali for having syabu.
Idzham was fined RM4,000 or 10 months jail for having 2.27gm of syabu at 2pm on June 16 at Kampung Tebobon, Menggatal.
Hanif was jailed nine months from the date of arrest on July 8 for having 0.82gm of syabu at the roadside in Sepanggar.
Kidman was jailed eight months and the sentence is to run concurrently with another count under Section 15, for having 0.01gm of syabu on May 23 at Lorong KCK, Bundusan.
He was ordered to be referred to the Immigration Department upon his release for deportation.
They were charged with under Section 12(2) and Section 12(3) of the Dangerous Drugs Act (ADB) 1952 which provides for a fine up to RM100,000, or up to five years jail, on conviction.
