Power load shedding to end in two years
On whether there are plans for load shedding in view of the El Nino, Mohd Yaakob said load shedding was previously done owing to the maintenance repair being done at the Ranhill IPP.
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) is expecting to end load shedding within two years. 

Its Chief Executive Officer Mohd Yaakob Jaafar said SESB, in collaboration with the Energy Commission, would propose building energy storage batteries with a capacity of 100 to 200 megawatts.

“If this is approved, we hope to get it completed within six to eight months,” he said, adding this is among SESB’s plans in the near future.
