SANDAKAN: Civil Defence Force (APM) personnel captured a crocodile weighing 80kg in Taman Megah, Batu 7, here, Friday.

The two-meter-long crocodile was earlier spotted in a large ditch by a resident who contacted the authorities via MERS999.

An eight-member APM team was then deployed to the location at 12.45 pm.

The crocodile was successfully captured with a rope around its neck after its sight was covered using a blanket.

It was then handed over to the Sandakan Wildlife Department.
