Kota Kinabalu: Former Kota Kinabalu Member of Parliament, Datuk Hiew King Cheu, said Sabah and Sarawak should be receiving RM20 billion each.
“It is no surprise that the 2024 National Budget sees the old formulae being used in making the allocation for Sabah and Sarawak, resulting in small funding to each.
“Sabah receives merely RM6.6 billion while Sarawak only gets RM5.8 billion. This is only RM12.4 billion in total, a 3.16 per cent out of the total national budget,” he said in a statement, here, Thursday.
