Kampung Air gets new graffitied look

KOTA KINABALU: Lorong Sentosa in Kampung Air has become a less intimidating alleyway thanks to street art from local and international artists.

Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Christina Liew said the Street Strokes programme is part of the city’s beautification project in collaboration with City Hall.

“We also need to look into City Park seriously. It is an expensive job, but we will do what is needed so that the city becomes a nice place to visit besides the islands,” she said, Sunday. Liew said she is determined to improve the hygiene and safety standards in Sembulan, Sinsuran, Bandaran Berjaya, Asia City and Segama, along with more graffiti paintings.
