Deputy CEO on what makes Sabah suitable for Kibing

Kota Kinabalu: Abundant natural resources, harmony and political stability made Sabah suitable for the Kibing Group, said Deputy Chief Executive Officer Yao Xinxi.

He said Kibing Group arrived in Sabah in 2022 in line with its desire to establish a company abroad.

“A grain of sand can become an industry, and the advantage of natural resources can be strengthened to the advantage of the industry, Kibing Group cooperates with the Government and the people of Sabah,” he said.

On Aug. 18, 2022, Kibing Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Sabah Government, where the Kibing Solar Phase One Project involved an investment of RM3 billion to build a solar glass factory with two photovoltaic glass production lines with a capacity of 2,400 tonnes in Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park (KKIP) and a silica sand processing factory in Kudat, creating up to 2,000 jobs.
