TAWAU: The State Government has allocated RM4.2 million to the Sabah Women’s Affairs Department (Jhewa) in the 2023 State Budget to implement various women’s development projects and programmes in Sabah.
The Chief Minister’s wife, Datin Seri Datuk Juliah Salag said, among the programmes and projects implemented include the Single Mother Entrepreneurship, Women’s Entrepreneurship Development Project and others. According to her, the projects target single mothers, low-income married women in the B40 category and female entrepreneurs.
She said the Federal Government through the Madani Budget 2023 also involves allocating several funding for women entrepreneurs, including loan facilities from various financial agencies with available funds amounting to RM1.7 billion.
