Kota Kinabalu: SABAH FC had risen to the occasion to record a big victory last Thursday night by thrashing Hai Phong FC 4-1 in the return leg of the AFC Cup Group H match at Likas Stadium.
It was indeed a fantastic scoreline to avenge the 2-3 defeat by the Vietnamese side earlier but we were given some scares in the early minutes of the match when the visitors missed two good opportunities to score.
However, Sabah FC were able to maintain their cool and picked up the pace after the nervy start and were rewarded in the 20th minute when Daniel Ting had the easiest of chances to slot into an open goal.
