Kota Kinabalu: The existence of advanced equipment and social media has a lot of impact on human life, especially women today.

Social media has become the most necessary communication tool in today’s era of globalisation, so ethics are required in its use, said the Women and Media Committee Chairperson of the Sabah Women Advisory Council (SWAC), Datuk Eliza Goh.

The objective of this committee is to promote and provide a positive image of women in the media.

“Women are frequently linked to new media due to their inclination to follow the latest trends,” said Eliza during the closing of a seminar titled ‘The Role of Social Media Influencing Women’s Minds’ at a hotel.
