PAPAR: A 19-year-old male succumbed to his serious injuries after losing control of his motorcycle and colliding with a four-wheel-drive along KM5, Jalan Bulatan Benoni-Ulu Kimanis, here, early Sunday.

District Police Chief DSP Kamaruddin Ambo Sakka said the incident occurred at about 3.10am when the victim was travelling towards Keningau from Papar.

Upon arriving at the scene, he said it was believed that the deceased lost control of his motorcycle which led him to enter the opposing lane before colliding with a Toyota Hilux.

“The victim was then sent to the Papar Hospital Emergency Unit for further treatment but was pronounced dead on the way to the Papar hospital,” he said in statement.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
