Kota Kinabalu: A total of 10 local coaches attended the Coaching Beginners & Intermediate Course (ITF/CBI 1) organised by Tennis Malaysia at the Kota Kinabalu Sports Complex recently.

The five-day course was conducted by the national head coach Zulkhairi Mohd Khir and assisted by Sabah Tennis Association coordinator and Tennis Malaysia appointed coach for the State ITF/Junior Tennis Initiative programme Clare Godon.

The participants were Mohd Ali Bin Mukim, Lim Shui Fong from Lahad Datu, Muhammad Fakhri Naqiuddin from Semporna, and Jeslin Beliku, Lawrench Singh, Benard Hugh, Darien Jeremiah Laban, Noel Allan Maxwell, Clarissa Sofia, Shan Danial from Kota Kinabalu. 

Sabah Tennis Association president Johnson Koh, who presented the certificates, called on the 10 coaches to apply their knowledge and help Sabah to produce state and backup players.
