Sabah did well despite uncertainties: SEAC
David (left) described Minister of Finance Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun’s (right) decision to continue accumulating a surplus of RM35.87m as “significant and prudent”.
Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Economic Advisory Council (SEAC) lauds Sabah’s 2023 economic performance despite grave global uncertainties. 

Its Chairman Tan Sri David Chu said the State’s 2023 growth rate is expected to be between 4 and 5 per cent.

“Which is very impressive and on par with the Malaysian national performance in view of the prevailing complex global situation.

“For 2024, tourism will continue to be one of the main booster economic engines.
