KENINGAU: Some 5,000 residents of 17 villages in Sook Sub-district near here are appealing to the Government to speed up the Rancangan Belia Tiulon road upgrade project which has been delayed since last year.
Their spokesman Muhidin Mahali said the villages involved are Kampung Sinar Harapan Mustika, Kg Johan Jaya, Kg Nukakatan Baru, Kg Seri Bulu, Kg Kebuan, Kg Mailo, Kg Kawakaan Toulon Youth Plan, Kg Mokotog, Kg Pulutan, Kg Mototou, Kg Maatol, Kg Mosorui, Kg Terlobou Baru, Kg Binuow Tengah and Kg Simbuan.
He said the worst damage occurs in the rainy season, causing the roads to develop potholes and muddy and difficult to pass, especially for small vehicles.
