Kota Kinabalu: Three people, including a five-month-old baby, were killed in an accident on the flyover near City Mall, Monday.

The 12.07am accident involved an Iswara carrying two families comprising four adults and five children and a Vigo. 

It was learnt that the Vigo driver, a 33-year-old man from Sibu, Sarawak, lost control of the vehicle and swerved multiple times before veering into the opposite lane and colliding with the Iswara. 

The Vigo was travelling from Lintas to Kingfisher when its front tyre suddenly ruptured, causing the vehicle to lose control.

The Vigo driver has been brought in to facilitate investigations.
