Triple Crown makes Kinabalu special
Kinabalu park was declared World Heritage Site 23 years ago.
RANAU: The Kinabalu Park World Heritage Site has become special following the awarding of the Unesco Triple Crown, said Sabah Parks, Director Dr. Maklarin Lakim.

Because of this, Sabah Parks, especially Kinabalu Park, is often referred to by countries such as Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand and South Korea on the management of this Park which is of international standard.

“This is due to us ensuring that the management of this World Heritage Site is carried out in collaboration with stakeholders and the community.

“Kinabalu Park is also often visited by various agencies or departments as well as institutions of higher learning both local and abroad to study the biodiversity and the culture of the community of Kinabalu Park which is very high in addition to learning the management system,” he said.
