‘Set up anti-drug panels’ call

Kota Kinabalu: Employers in the state are urged to establish Drug Free Workplace Committees (Tekad) in their respective organisations.

State Minister of Sabah Community Development and People’s Well-being (KPMKR), Datuk James Ratib, said: “The State Government is very committed to ensuring that the issue of drug abuse can be dealt with holistically.

I call on all employers to create a conducive and safe workplace. The excellence of the service and productivity of the organisation depend entirely on the mutual commitment between employers and employees.

“I am confident that this Tekad Committees can be mobilised immediately and become a protective factor for the organisation and employees from getting caught up in the problem of drug abuse,” he said.
