TAWAU: A woman reported missing in bushes at Batu 6, Jalan Apas, here, was found three hours later, Thursday evening.

Tawau Fire and Rescue Department (FRD) Station Chief Jemishin Ujin said the 25-year-old was found safe by her family.He said the department received an emergency call at 6.55pm via MERS999.

“A team of eight officers and personnel were deployed to the location about 10km away and the search operation ended at 8.58pm on police orders,” he said.

However, Jemishin said, the station later received a call from the police saying the victim’s family members had found her. 

“The operation ended at 9.35pm,” he said.
