Disabled woman killed in Inanam fire
The scene of the fire that consumed 12 non-permanent homes in Kalansanan.
Kota Kinabalu: The charred remains of a disabled woman was found  after a fire that razed 12 houses in Kg Kalansanan, Inanam, at about 11pm, Thursday.

The victim, identified as Idam Hamid, in her 50s, is said to have been a paraplegic.

A 16-year-old girl and two men, 20 and 22, suffered burns while a 23-year-old woman fainted during the incident.

The Sabah Fire and Rescue Department (FRD) Operations Centre said a total of 43 officers and personnel comprising three district stations were mobilised.

“Firefighting was carried out with streams sourced from fire hydrants and an FRD water tanker. 

“The situation was brought under control at 1.16am and ended at 4.50am,” a spokesperson said, Friday.
