Kota Kinabalu: Political Secretary to the State Minister of Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship (MIDE), Chan Loong Wei, expressed disappointment over the political statement by a Warisan leader, Chen Ket Chuin, regarding Sabah’s industrialisation.
Chen, in a statement, claimed that China’s solar glass company, Kibing, is only interested in extracting sand from Kudat and producing glass in Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park (KKIP) which would then be shipped to China.
Chen said a recent visit to Kibing’s office at Menara MAA following an invitation from MIDE revealed all China employees, contrary to the claim of 1,100 jobs created for locals.
