Kota Kinabalu: A group of 18 single mothers from the B40 category were provided with hands-on experience to acquire baking skills, recently.
These mothers including from Kota Marudu, Kunak and Bongawan, were chosen to participate in the baking class, aiming to empower them for personal and economic growth.
The initiative to empower single mothers through baking skills was launched by Lions Clubs International District 308-A2 (Regions 6 & 7), in collaboration with Persatuan Ibu Tunggal Sabah (Pitsa) and Sabah Cheshire Home and Services (SCHS).
