BEAUFORT: The driver of a Perodua Myvi managed to eject from the vehicle when it crashed into a ditch along Jalan Komuniti at about 4.34pm, last Friday.
Beaufort Fire and Rescue Station Chief, Muhammad Hasbullah Nenggok, said two teams were rushed to the scene upon receiving the distressed call.
He said the firefighters carried the victim using a stretcher before handing him over to the ambulance.
“The victim survived and only suffered bodily injuries.
“The car, meanwhile, sustained major damage after crashing into the one-metre deep ditch,” he said.
The previous day, the Fire Department also received an emergency call from Kampung Parit Kelabu in which a cat was trapped on a 30ft tall palm tree.
Firefighters used a ladder to rescue the cat that was stuck there for almost a day, Muhammad Hasbullah said.
