PETALING JAYA: Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd, through its subsidiaries, has secured two contracts from the Eastern & Oriental Bhd (E&O) group totalling RM92.14 million.
Kerjaya Prospek said its wholly-owned unit Permatang Bakti Sdn Bhd was awarded an RM69.23 million contract from E&O’s indirect subsidiary Tanjung Pinang Development Sdn Bhd (TPD) while Kerjaya Prospek (M) Sdn Bhd (KPM) bagged an RM25.91 million contract from E&O’s indirect unit Persada Mentari Sdn Bhd.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the construction group said the contract from TPD involves the execution and completion of superstructure works of Gurney Marine Bridge Phase 2 for the proposed Seri Tanjung Pinang Phase 2 development in Penang.
The contract which is expected to start on Jan 22, 2024, will be completed within 24 months.
In a separate note, Kerjaya Prospek said KPM has secured the piling and sub-structure contract works for a proposed 50-storey service apartment at Bandar Tanjung Pinang, Andaman Island, Penang.
“The contract covers the execution and completion of site works and earthworks, foundation piling system and pile caps construction, basement construction, and all associated works (for the apartment),” it said.
Kerjaya Prospek said the contract’s 12-month duration begins on Jan 22, 2024.
As at 3.18pm, Kerjaya Prospek’s share price was unchanged at RM1.68, giving it a market capitalisation of RM2.13 billion.
