PETALING JAYA: Two 15-year-old brothers were arrested in Sentul on Monday for allegedly vandalising a car belonging to a Federal Court judge.

Sentul police chief Sukarno Zahari said the judge’s driver found out a day earlier that the car, which had been parked by the roadside at Taman Koperasi Polis Fasa Dua in Sentul, had a long scratch on it and the official judge’s emblem on the front bumper had been removed, Berita Harian reported.

The Form 3 students were arrested at a house in Batu Caves on Monday night and were released on police bail after questioning.

Sukarno said police seized two sets of clothing and the emblem.

“Our investigation found that both suspects scratched the judge’s car using a stone while they were on their way home after playing football at a nearby field,” he was quoted as saying.

“One of them also confessed to intentionally breaking off the judge’s emblem because he wanted to give it to his brother,” he said.

Sukarno said the brothers are not twins but were born in the same year.

He said the case is being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for committing mischief.
