AirAsia’s move to reinstate Kota Kinabalu - Jakarta route hailed
We understand the flight frequency is thrice weekly on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday,” Liew said.
Kota Kinabalu: State Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Christina Liew hailed AirAsia’s move to reinstate its Kota Kinabalu-Jakarta route on Feb 6.

She said it is a timely action, given the growing demand for travel overseas, following the reopening of Malaysia’s international borders for travellers from all countries in April 2022, and in view of the upcoming Chinese New Year festival where people may opt to holiday abroad.

“We welcome AirAsia’s inaugural flight from Jakarta to Kota Kinabalu post-pandemic, and note that this is the airline’s tenth international flight to Sabah.

We understand the flight frequency is thrice weekly on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday,” she said in a statement, Friday.
