They hoped to get assistance like kitchen utensils and food, among others.

However, they had received immediate assistance in the form of used clothing from neighbours and friends.

Juddy Lasius, a neighbour, initiated opening the mini community hall in Kg Madsiang in nearby village to help collect donations from members of the public.

“Right now they are in need of food stuff.

“As for used clothing, we received quite a lot from kind neighbours and friends upon hearing about the incident,” said Juddy.

They are also seeking assistance from government agencies to build houses for the victims.
