Submit ‘letter of demand’: Ewon
Ewon said after serving the State and Federal Governments, he found the “missing link” to the matter – “firstly, the State Government had yet to submit an official letter of claim, and secondly, the payment mechanism was not discussed specifically.”
PENAMPANG: Upko President Datuk Ewon Benedick suggested that the State Government submit its “letter of demand” to the Federal Government regarding the payment of 40 per cent of federal revenue collected in Sabah.

He said the letter should include details of the amount sought, including arrears.

“I believe the Sabah Government, including the two years that I served, has never made an official claim.

“As such, the State Government should submit its claims…this is something similar to a ‘letter of demand’ in legal term.
