Kota Kinabalu: Parti Kerjasama Negeri (Anak Negeri) President Datuk Henrynus Amin said Federal Minister Datuk Ewon Benedict should pursue the 40pc Sabah tax revenue entitlement with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who has the power to commit and mobilise Federal resources to fulfil it.
He reiterated for the Sabah Government to introduce and pass a binding resolution in the State Assembly to endorse State demand for the return of the 40pc net Federal revenue accrued in Sabah as provided for under Article 112C and Section 1(2), Part IV of the Tenth Schedule of the Federal Constitution.
He said it was also correct for Upko to call on the State Government to make an official demand on the issue.
However, the State demand on the matter is best done through a binding resolution in the Assembly, he said.
