KINABATANGAN: A four-year-old girl was killed and five others were injured in an accident involving five vehicles - a Proton Iswara, a 10-tonne lorry, two three-tonne lorries and a tour bus - in Kg Paris 1, here, Saturday.
Kinabatangan District Police Chief Dzulbaharin Ismail said the girl was a passenger in the Iswara and that she died before receiving treatment at the Lahad Datu Hospital.
He said the bus driver has since been brought in to facilitate investigations.
He urged witnesses to come forward to help in the investigations.
Kinabatangan Fire and Rescue Station Chief Nurul Azlan Shah said a team was deployed to the scene after receiving an 11.19am distress call.
All the injured victims were already taken to the hospital by members of the public by the time the team arrived.
