Kota Kinabalu: Parti Warisan Deputy President Datuk Darell Leiking called for a special Assembly sitting in Sabah to invoke Article 8 of the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).
This is in the wake of talk that the state government should file an official claim to Putrajaya on its rightful 40 per cent share of the tax revenue taken from resources in Sabah’s territory.
The Moyog Assemblyman said the ratification of Article 8 by the State Assembly would be the best legal option to compel the Federal Government to comply with the Federal Constitution.
