Kota Kinabalu: Team DNA captured the New Year’s 2024 Sabah Triples Open Lawn Bowl Championship title in Keningau on Sunday.

Nurnajmi Jannah Jali with Afif Aiman Affendy and Hafiz Firdaus Affendy won the top cash prize of RM2,600 by beating team Pengsiangan comprising Junaidih Malintau,

Edver Rivaldee H Malintau and Elddy Maxcanzie J Malintau 14-9 in the final held at the Keningau Sports Complex Bowling Alley.

The losing finalists had to settle for RM1,400 while  joint third place winners Keningau Veteran (Juluius Rantau, Jamail Deran @ Ismail, Alvin Aling @ Tony) and Sobat (Mohd Hairi Hamzah, Muhd Uthman Sarimal, Nur Azami Azlie) each received RM600.

A total of 14 teams took part in the two-day tournament organised by Sabah Lawn Bowl Association (SLBA).

SLBA president Shuib Hashim was present at the closing ceremony to give away the prizes.
