KENINGAU: Sook’s residents are delighted with the State Cabinet’s approval to upgrade the sub-district into a full district.
Resident, Muhidin Mahali, said the status upgrade would further boost Sook’s development as a district officer would administer it.
“The increased staffing in the district office would also improve the administration system, especially in coordinating the government departments and agencies in the district,” the former civil servant said.
“The status upgrade would also intensify economic growth in the area.”
