Efforts to attain excellence in the Chinese Language subject should not be left solely to Form 5 teachers, but should be shared by all Chinese elementary and secondary teachers.

On that note, she thanked the Association for its initiative in strengthening the competency, teaching and professionalism of Chinese teachers in preschools, primary and secondary schools throughout Sabah.

Furthermore, the initiative allows Sabah professors to communicate with Chinese lecturers, compare experiences and innovate in teaching procedures.

She also extended her appreciation to academicians from Jinan University, namely Associate Prof Dr Zhang Li, Associate Prof Dr Ma Xinqin, Chen Hongwei and Liu Wenhui, for giving a talk throughout the week from Tawau, Sandakan to Kota Kinabalu.

“I am certain the workshop can provide enthusiasm among teachers to improve their teaching effectiveness, while expanding their knowledge and appreciation to the diverse languages in Malaysia,” she said.
