CHIEF Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor has been awarded the rank of Brigadier General (Honorary) and appointed as Patron of the Sabah Territorial Army Support Committee (Jakpaw).

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin and Army Chief General Tan Sri Muhammad Harizuddeain Jantan conducted the official “pinning-on” ceremony at the Chief Minister’s office at Menara Kinabalu, Thursday (pic).

His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong has consented to the recommendation of the 592nd Armed Forces Council (MAT) for awarding the Territorial Army honorary rank to Hajiji.

Also present were State Secretary Datuk Seri Sr. Safar Untong, Defence Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Seri Isham Ishak and the Army Eastern Field Commander-in-Chief Lieutenant General Datuk Mohd Sofi Md Lepi.
