PAPAR: The retargeting of the diesel subsidy that is expected to be implemented in the second quarter of this year does not involve Sabah and Sarawak, said Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali.
He said the Federal Government agreed not to impose such move in Sabah and Sarawak for the time being after taking into account the high demand and consumption of the fuel in both states.
He added that the Ministry would hold discussions with the Sabah and Sarawak governments before the implementation of any diesel subsidy retargeting programme in the two states.
