Giant Chinese New Year lanterns liven up Tawau

TAWAU: The eight-day 2024 Tawau International Light Fest that began Feb 1 at Fuji Park, Jalan Sin Onn, here, is aimed at domestic and foreign tourists. 

State Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Christina Liew is confident that it will garner a large number of visitors who wish to witness the uniqueness of the light display and art exhibited at the site.

Among the main attractions include a giant dragon lantern spanning 88 feet long and 22 feet high, 12 lanterns in the shape of animals representing the Chinese zodiac and nearly 600 red lanterns hung at the gate of the site.
