Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) is always concerned about its employee’s welfare.
SESB Engineers’ Union (KJJ) President Ir. Ts Sudalli Sabtuahim Osman welcomed the steps taken by the utility company to improve healthcare by appointing private hospitals as SESB’s medical panel for eligible staff and family members.
SESB led by Chief Executive Officer Ir. Ts. Mohd Yaakob Haji Jaafar and Company Secretary Hajah Zunaidah Osman signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with five private hospitals.
They are KPJ Kota Kinabalu, Gleaneagles, Jesselton Medical Centre, Rafflesia and Tawau Medical Centre.
The agreement signing ceremony took place at the SESB Conference Hall, Wisma SESB on Friday, 2 February, 2024.
Sudalli also said that there will be no withdrawal of welfare and facilities that have been provided and long enjoyed by all levels of SESB working members.
“The changes implemented by the management only involve updating procedures to optimize the company’s operating costs,” he said.
He said that KJJ and the management of SESB always go hand in hand in ensuring welfare and the facility of working members is constantly developed.
“May this indirectly contribute to improvement of SESB services as well as state development especially in provide reliable energy supply for Sabah and the Federal Territories Labuan,” he said.
