Kota Kinabalu: More than 3,000 people from all walks of life thronged the Pesta Angpow 2024 organised by Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (PGRS) Kapayan Division at Beverly Hill Plaza recently.

PGRS Deputy Secretary-General Datuk Dr Stephen Jimbangan said the event, aligning with the Sabah Government’s vision, was to uplift the economy of small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

“We have provided 35 hawker stalls to help the SMEs generate income as the rental is free. We received an encouraging turnout from the people as many have been waiting for such an event for a long time,” said Stephen.

People from different ethnicities joined in the celebration aimed at fostering unity and cooperation while preserving Chinese culture in Malaysia, he said.
