SANDAKAN: A Proton Saga (pic) was destroyed in a fire near Taman Mawar Phase 3 Lorong 23, here, Wednesday.
Nobody was injured.
Sandakan Fire and Rescue Station Chief Severinus Nidzam Sainkui said firefighters were deployed to the scene some eight kilometres away after receiving a distress call at 1.42pm.
The fire was brought under control at 1.55pm with operations ending at 2.12pm.
