PAPAR: A video has gone viral of a bus – believed to experience technical failure – falling into a gap near Bongawan, here, on Sunday.

The 52-second video showed the bus in a tilted condition after falling into a wide gap (pic) believed to be part of the ongoing Pan Borneo Highway project.

In the video, a witness (recorder) could be heard asking if the situation was due to break failure, which was admitted by another.

The witness also said it was lucky that the bus was not travelling at high speed. 

It is believed that the driver and passengers who were heading towards Menumbok from Kota Kinabalu escaped unscathed.

District Police Chief DSP Kamaruddin Ambo Sakka said no police report was lodged regarding the incident.
