Kota Kinabalu: Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) said it is crucial to build a prosperous nation/state that is aligned with the Malaysia Madani aspiration.
In expressing full support to Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim’s call for enhance and harmony among Malaysians, its president Datuk Chin Su Phin assured that LDP will continue to rally behind the monarchy and current government.
This, he believes, is crucial for building a prosperous nation that aligns with the Malaysia Madani aspiration.
Chin also echoed His Majesty’s emphasis on maintaining political stability and praised the King’s intolerance towards attempts to trigger a premature change of government through backdoor maneuvers.
He asserted that such actions not only uphold the integrity of the political system but also safeguard the constitutional monarchy and parliamentary democracy.
Chin pointed out that King’s warning to all levels of society to maintain harmony and avoid touching on issues involving the royal institution, race, or religion should receive unconditional support from the rakyat.
He agreed with the King on the lack of unity in the country, despite Malaysia being formed over 60 years ago.
The King also noted the failure of some Malaysians to master the national language and appreciate the diverse cultures of other races.
Hence, the King emphasised the need for the education system to focus more on cultural diversity to promote better understanding and respect.
Chin expressed his belief that the King’s determination and confidence in the political system will stabilize the political landscape, enabling steady economic growth.
He said that political stability would attract domestic and foreign investors, speeding up economic recovery.
Furthermore, Chin stressed that the King’s speech has provided a clear direction on harmonious development in the country.
By maintaining political stability, the country will be one step closer to realizing national unity, promoting common development at all societal levels, and contributing to national prosperity.
