KENINGAU: The body of a girl feared drowned on Wednesday afternoon in the Ansip river here was found by firemen not far from where she had slipped into the water.

Juliana Gabriel, 17, was reportedly washing clothes before slipping into the river. Her body was found at a depth of 10 feet about 10 feet from where she had slipped.

The victim was confirmed dead and handed over to the police for further action.
