Kota Kinabalu: Tabs Safa Bandaraya will continue to work closely with Sabah FC towards achieving a common goal of developing football in the State.
Its vice chairman SA Ramlye said this after paying a visit to Sabah FC chief operating officer Syazwan Imran at his office on Tuesday.
The two parties had earlier signed a memorandum of understanding in 2022 to jointly develop football in the State until May 2026.
Under the agreement, Tabs will receive training attire, balls, bibs and their coaches will also be given the opportunity to have an attachment with Sabah FC head coach Datuk Ong Kim Swee.
“Our visit here was to further strengthen the collaboration between the two parties in addition to informing of our development programme.
“We are grateful to Sabah FC’s for their continuous cooperation in helping to improve the operation aspect of our programme.
“We will always ensure the collaboration goes well and will benefit the professional club,” he said.
He also said Syazwan was briefed on the reorganisation of Tabs’ coaching department recently.
He said the latest move is to ensure they are more efficient in implementing their programme involving trainees aged seven to 17.
