KANGAR: The Perlis government has achieved its agenda of having zero gambling premises following the closure of the last numbers lottery outlet in the state last Wednesday, says a state executive councillor.

Realising that gambling does more harm than good, he said the Perlis government decided to stop renewing the business licences for gaming outlets in the state to ensure that the people of various religions and races in Perlis can live safely and prosperously.

“Through this small effort, the state government hopes that Perlis will continue to receive an abundance of blessings from God, bringing prosperity and well-being to all the people in this state,” he said in a Facebook post today.
