No excessive increase in prices at various Ramadan bazaars

Tuaran: Traditional foods such as bosou sada (fish pickles), tuhau, bambangan pickles, linopot rice (wrapped) and various other types of local food products are synonymous with popular iftar dishes in Sabah.

In fact, these are must-have dishes for local residents, especially the Kadazan Dusun community, every time they have a feast, wedding and special food during Aidilfitri or Aidiladha.

However, a survey at several locations in the district found that customers who visited the Ramadan bazaar this time either had to spend more or save more than last year for the first day of Ramadan.

In Tuaran town, the increase in the prices of food involving the popular menu of fried foods such as chicken rice and squid in addition to traditional foods, pastries and drinks in jars is no exception.
