Kota Kinabalu: A large swarm of jellyfish was spotted at Kampung Jangkit Beach, Kuala Penyu, on Wednesday, likely due to the hot spell currently.

Justin Tianji, 55, a local from nearby Kampung Kiaru, claimed the whole stretch of the beach was inundated with jellyfish, some of which were still alive in the water.

“I was on my way home around noon when I spotted the jellyfish – some washed up on the beach and some floating in the water,” he told Daily Express.
