TAWAU: The RM600 flight ticket subsidy for Sabahan students at institutions of higher learning (IPT) in the peninsula, Sarawak and Labuan brings hope to them and their families.
Kukusan assemblywoman Rina Jainal said the aid could ease the burden of students covering the cost of flight tickets to return to their hometowns to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
“We are already aware that the price of flight tickets, especially from the Peninsular, will rise before the festive season because of increased demand,” she said in a statement.
“Thus, this ticket subsidy of RM600 gives hope to the students to return to their hometowns to celebrate Eid with their families.”
