Cops adopt Kota Kinabalu High School

Kota Kinabalu: Kota Kinabalu High School (KKHS) was officially made a Foster School under the Kota Kinabalu District Police (PDRM) Headquarters, here, by PDRM Chief, ACP Mohd Zaidi Bin Abdullah.

This programme, along with close ties and good networking with the PDRM, would enable the school to be crime-free under the auspices of the PDRM.

Kota Kinabalu District Police Chief, YDH ACP Mohd Zaidi Bin Abdullah, laid out several objectives of the programme in his speech, including increasing the collaboration between the Kota Kinabalu PDRM and KKHS and making the school a role model for other secondary schools in the KK district.

“Nowadays, students are highly exposed to various outdoor activities that are likely to lead to criminal activities, so the school needs the help of PDRM expertise to handle such issues.

Kota Kinabalu District Education Officer, Suhaimi bin Hj Matshah, said that the cooperation between KKHS and the PDRM proves the effectiveness of both parties in law enforcement and preventing criminal misbehaviour, as well as its ability to produce excellent students with good self-discipline.

Also present were KKHS Principal Lily Wong Bitt Lee, Chairman of the School Board of Governors Lim Kiat Kong, Chairman of the Parents and Teachers Association Tan Hock Siong, KKHS alumni, and PIBG committee members.
