Kota Kinabalu: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Kota Belud Branch Chief Datuk Mustapha Sakmud is ready to take over the party’s State Leadership Council (MPN) if supported by a majority of division leaders.
It is up to party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to make the final decision, he said at the Higher Education Ministry’s Sematak Ramadan Ceremony with UiTM Sabah.
Mustapha dismissed rumours that he was one of the qualified candidates after Datuk Sangkar Rasam lost the backing of 15 branch leaders.
