NOTHING beats the seafront for breaking the fast during Ramadan as these pix in Kota Kinabalu and Sandakan show.
Kota Kinabalu’s Likas Bay has been attracting hundreds since Ramadan started when it was time to break fast, turning the coastline into one big picnic-like atmosphere by families and individuals alike.

In SANDAKAN, more than 1,000 visitors attended the Madani Iftar program @Batu Sapi 2024 along Jalan Coastal on Saturday.
It was the first large Iftar programme held outside Kuala Lumpur.
It proved a positive approach to fostering values and identity, particularly among the young generation, through cooking Bubur Lambuk and distribution to asnaf (orphans) and the homeless.
There were also Ramadan bazaar sales, congregational tarawih prayers, nasyid and qasidah performances, among others.
The programme was officiated by the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture cum Batu Sapi Member of Parliament Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan.
